Competition Rules

DUMBARTON GOLF CLUB
Gents - Competitions 2011

MONTHLY MEDAL

Divided into 3 classes, 0 to 11, 12 to 17 and 18 to 28. Third Saturday of each month. Medals awarded to best nett of each class. In the event of a postponed medal, the medal will be played on the first available Saturday.

 

MEDAL FINALS

Competitors will be the winners of medals from January to December 2010.

Prizes will be awarded to the best nett score in each class. Sat. 17th Sept.

 

CHARLES BEGG CUP (Wed.Medals)

To be competed for every 2nd Wed starting from 6th April to 19thOctober.
The 12 competitors with the lowest nett aggregate of two scores from 6th April to 24th August will qualify for the final on 4th September. Last Tee-Off time 5.30 p.m.

 

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

Holder plus 15 lowest aggregate scratch scores. 2 best aggregate scores from 4 competitions.

Handicap Greensome Strokeplay competition. (18 holes) Sat. 9th July
Handicap allowance 1/2 combined difference.

 

ALGER ELECTRIC CUP (SPRING & AUTUMN MEETING)
Stableford competition. Full handicap allowance. Best aggregate points on
Sat 9th April & Sat. 3rd September.

 

R.RODGERS TROPHY
Singles Matchplay competition. Competitors from 2nd & 3rd Class only can qualify.
Full handicap allowance. 16 lowest nett scores ( 8-2nd & 8-3rd ) taken from the qualifying round on Sat. 18th June.

 

36 HOLE STROKEPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP
The top 16 competitors with the lowest gross aggregate of two scores from Monthly Medals (Jan-Aug) will qualify for the final on Sunday 21st August (36 Holes)
