Friends and Family Scheme
From 1st July, a new scheme will be introduced to encourage members to bring Friends and Family to join Dumbarton Golf Club.
Members of any category (except Juniors, and Intermediates under 21) who introduce an Ordinary (Full) Member will be given £30 onto their bar card.
Conditions :
A specific application form should be obtained from the Secretary. The introducing member must arrange to accompany the new member to meet with the Secretary to sign them into the system and set up their membership. The introducing member will be responsible for showing the new member around the clubhouse, and for arranging to mark the new member's first card for handicap. They will make sure the new member is aware of the dress rules of the club, and basic playing etiquette, as well as how competitions and the swipe card system work.
In return, the introducing member will receive a £30 top-up onto their membership bar card, which must be used before 31st March of the current membership year.
Ordinary Membership fees are £600 plus £50 on swipe card. However, the subscription of £600 is calculated using a pro rata basis and reduces monthly depending on how much of the Season is left. e.g. joining in July reduces the subscription by 3 months i.e. 3/12 of £600 = £450 to pay plus £50. etc.
